Will it hold my thick hair?

It holds a twist of medium to fairly thick hair well. For very thick, long hair, use it for a low knot or a half-up style rather than a tight high bun.

Is it just plastic?

No. It's cut from acetate sheet and baked to a deep gloss, the material many premium hair clips use. It feels smoother and looks richer than moulded plastic, more like a tortoiseshell sunglasses frame.

How big is it?

It's a palm-size rectangle clip that fits easily in your hand, a coat pocket or a small bag. Packed, it measures about 7 x 3 x 4 cm.

Can I lie back or lean on it?

A claw clip sits out from your head, so leaning back on it isn't comfortable. For long drives, clip a low knot at the nape instead.

What colour exactly is it?

Light tortoise: a warm honey base with dark brown spots. It looks warm and rich against blonde, brown, red and grey hair.
